June 8
ReplyDeleteJune 8.
Hmmmm, something special about today. . . .?
Hmmmm.
Strasburg?
No.
Rashomon? No.
Oh, yeah.
it's National Poke Yer Eye Out Day.
Happy Poke Yer Eye Out Day, bub
Thanks, bub! National Poke Yer Eye Out Day is my favorite day of the year. Almost like a birthday or something ...
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day (er, evening) and vacay time with Katie-Bar-the-Door, Mister Myth!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lupner! We ate dinner at Ray's in Silver Spring, walked across the street to see Rashomon (a really clean print) and then listened to the last three innings of Strasburg's debut on the car radio -- fourteen strikeouts! Plus I got to sit in the MVA for an hour and a half this afternoon to renew my driver's license (don't wait to the last day, kids). A nice birthday all around.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm talkin' 'bout! (Well, maybe not the MVA part, but can certainly relate to last-minute-itis ..)
ReplyDeleteAnd Go Nats! Now that they have Strasburg, I even feel a win for Teddy coming on...
And a Happy Strasmas to you, too, Lupner!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was National Leif Ericson Day - the stuff you learn.
ReplyDeletehow does one celebrate National Poke Yer Out Day? I hope there's something that's not quite so obvious.
