  1. I'm not sure which option to choose. I found you through mrwhoamusanyway, and love old movies, plus I may have a bit of brain damage.

    Thank-you Mr. Who. : )

  6. And I blame Mr. Muleboy as always!

Come to think of it, I blame Mister Muleboy, too. I was reading his blog one day and he announced that I was starting a blog about movies and I thought, "I am?" And then I thought, "Well, I guess I could." And then I did.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

  8. I can't claim that it wasn't brain damage, but I know a few of the "gray cells" were damaged in the process. I found your blog by following the link from another site, but I don't recall the name at the moment. I do remember that we became mutual followers of each other's blogspots.

  9. Erik, I can't remember now exactly which post it was that got me to your blog -- could have been the review of Temple Drake -- but as soon as I saw it, I knew I'd hit the mother lode. Must reading for any alternate Oscar buff.

  10. And whistling gypsy, I'm sure glad you found this blog because I've certainly enjoyed reading yours -- both of them. Check 'em out, guys: Whistling Gypsy is a contributing member of The Lady Eve's Reel Life and runs Distant Voices, Flickering Shadows all alone, I do believe. The Lady Eve writes mostly about film noir, and the latter has a nice two-part essay on the lost silent films of Josef von Sternberg.

    Check it out.
