I found The Good Place to consistently bring subtle, BITING humour -- at the expense of the many -- in broadsides and asides. Your early endorsement is greatly appreciated.
I also found the performances top-notch - and ever-improving. Ted Danson, to my utter surprise, is an endless well of funny.
Not enough naked broads, but I'll only subtract 1/2 point.

American men should boycott American women
I would, but my wife won't let me.

Actually, half of my favorite people are American women.
Remember: if you find that all of any group of people are impossible to get along with, well, to quote Shakespeare, "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, But in ourselves."
Ted Danson, to my utter surprise, is an endless well of funny.
He's one of those actors whose range and talent you discover by triangulation. You think he's one thing watching Cheers, something else entirely watching Becker or late-era CSI, and then he raises his game in The Good Place to the point you realize he's a national treasure.
I thought he was hysterical in the episode where he's interrogating rocks -- "You devious little monsters" -- but that last episode, holy cow!
I also found the performances top-notch - and ever-improving.
Shout outs to William Jackson Harper (Chidi), D'Arcy Carden (Janet), Manny Jacinto (Jason/Jianyu) and Jameela Jamil (Tahani). Even Tiya Sircar made "real" Eleanor seem like somebody you'd want to know as opposed to a smug, preachy do-gooder. Well done.
I found The Good Place to consistently bring subtle, BITING humour -- at the expense of the many -- in broadsides and asides.
They tossed off more great lines in asides than most sitcoms can come up with as the centerpiece of an episode.
E.g.,
"It ran on the BBC for sixteen years. They did nearly thirty episodes."
Oh, and another of my favorite lines, this about why there's frozen yogurt instead of ice cream in the Good Place.
"It's so human to take something great and ruin it a little so you can have even more of it."
