Forgive me for breaking the timeline, but I wanted to note that today is the birthday of Jane Greer, one of my all-time favorite actresses and the only femme fatale in the grand history of film noir I'd let shoot me. She'd be 86 today if she were still kicking it. No doubt I'll write about her at length come 1947 when she starred with Robert Mitchum in Out Of The Past, but in the meantime, drink in one of the greatest entrances in movie history:
