BRINGING UP BABY is the best movie ever made, so that answers your question right there.
I watched ONLY ANGELS HAVE WINGS ~30 years ago, and loved it ever since. But I re-watched it recently with my wife and was appalled at the casual racism and misogyny. My wife (who had loved it with me when we first saw it) couldn't watch it to the end. The treatment of the native women pushed her over the edge.
I still say it's a great movie, but deeply flawed.
Blog whoring is not only welcomed, it's required. Everybody -- get yourself over to Cool Beveridge before you take another drink.
Re: Only Angels Have Wings: Speaking of beverages, I suspect one could get a serious drinking game going with OAHW -- take a drink every time somebody says "Calling Barranca, calling Barranca." Except you'd be in a freakin' coma by the end of the first reel.
I'm going to have to jump on the Bringing Up Baby bandwagon, though I openly admit to having ONLY seen BUB of all the films listed. I adore it so much that I kinda can't imagine not voting for it . . .
Will do my best to catch up with the other films nevertheless!
I got Only Angels Have Wings as part of a Cary Grant box set that included Holiday, The Awful Truth, The Talk Of The Town and His Girl Friday. $39.99 at amazon.com and for that price, you even get free shipping!
No horses that I can recall, but there is a leopard. And as Cary Grant pointed out, "When a man is wrestling a leopard in the middle of a pond, he's in no position to run."
Named for Katie-Bar-The-Door, the Katies are "alternate Oscars"—who should have been nominated, who should have won—but really they're just an excuse to write a history of the movies from the Silent Era to the present day.

Remember: There are no wrong answers, only movies you haven't seen yet.
The Silent Oscars
And don't forget to check out the Silent Oscars—my year-by-year choices for best picture, director and all four acting categories for the pre-Oscar years, 1902-1927.
Look at me—Joe College, with a touch of arthritis. Are my eyes really brown? Uh, no, they're green. Would we have the nerve to dive into the icy water and save a person from drowning? That's a key question. I, of course, can't swim, so I never have to face it. Say, haven't you anything better to do than to keep popping in here early every morning and asking a lot of fool questions?

One of my all time favorite, 'Bringing up Baby'.
How could it have been given such bad reviews when it first came out? (If I'm recalling correctly)
Character galore, Cary Grant and zaniness.
How many times can I vote? (grew up in Illinois)
Vote early, vote often, I always say!

Seriously, I only voted once, but I like how this is going.
Yay.

Bringing Up Baby going away. Scarface and Only Angels Have Wings, pick 'em. Twentieth Century trails the pack.
In short, it's not a horse race.

So racing is right out.
